Recycle, Reuse & Remember...

Every bit of plastic affects our environment. We all know the impact it is wrecking on ecosystems and animals. We can not escape the reality that we must do something to cut back on how much plastic is produced and goes into landfills & the ocean. Everyone can do something from as little as not using plastic straws or to-go cups.  Our latest endeavor in cutting back our plastic foot print at Wild Birds in Gardiner is teaming up with the recycled plastic lumber producer TREX to recycle all of our plastic seed bags. Trex has sent us a recycle barrel for the store that all customers can return their used seed bags to and we will facilitate the recycling of them with our local grocery store QFC.  We love this joint effort and feel that every step we take in scaling back the amount of plastic in our landfill is a good one! So REMEMBER - Bring back those bags, let's cut back on plastic in the environment! RECYCLE & REUSE as much as possible!
